He yearns to build a life and future with his two partners in Folkmore, since it's the only opportunity he'll have for it, but he's also carefully mindful of the limitations of polyamory and tries his best to fit his wants and needs into the space he's been allowed. With the speeds the spinner is capable of, it isn't a terribly long trip to reach Cruel Summer, even with K intentionally taking scenic routes at a leisurely pace. He's in no hurry; being able to share the wonderful sights of Folkmore in this unique way with Jayce is well worth savouring. Once they're over the desert, though, he makes a few adjustments to the displays so Jayce will be able to see all the different inorganic chemical compositions present in the ground below — it's a veritable treasure trove of minerals.
