It was hard not to share the good mood, and Viktor was still fizzing with laughter even after K put him down. After he returned with his spoon, Viktor was somewhat confused about what the bath salts were. The bubble bath only served to confuse him further.

K seemed to be pretty confident in what he was doing, so when he indicated that Viktor should go first and that he should test the temperature of the water, Viktor first put both hands on the sides of the tube. One was pretty normal, but his altered hand clunked against the enamel of the tub like a cross between metal and stone. Viktor sucked in a breath between his teeth as he lowered himself into the steaming water. It was hot enough to tingle up his thighs and stomach but after a moment he grew used to the feeling and sighed with contentment. He always took showers that were so hot they would be considered painful to other people. After a moment he let his hands fall away from the sides of the tab into the water.
