• Additional Adjustments to include: If you want to add anything significant such as CRAU bullet points for your own reference, explanations, or clarifications let us know here. This might also be a good place to update your application if you feel it needs it for our new standards in regards to relationships/key moments explained.

In K's canon, humans despise him for being an android, while other androids despise him for being a blade runner that's ordered (by humans) to hunt them down — he's an outcast even amongst outcasts. Because of this, he lives in isolation and has only a couple noteworthy canon Core Relationships as of the canon point I took him from.
Joi: She is K's hologram AI companion designed by the same corporation that manufactured him. These AI companions are marketed toward humans, but because K himself is also a form of AI, they share a unique relationship; he doesn't consider himself her owner, but more of a partner. They are both subject to their respective programming, with Joi's being less sophisticated in sometimes obvious ways that K is learning to accommodate while treating her like a person. Though she's designed to learn and adapt to the preferences of her user, K seems to encourage her to develop her own preferences and tries to give her what freedom he can in the form of an emanator, which allows her to travel beyond his apartment — from that point on he takes Joi with him wherever he goes.
Lieutenant Joshi: She is K's human superior officer in the LAPD as well as being his handler/owner. They share a cordially professional relationship for the most part, and though she seems fond of him (with an underlying sexual attraction if her proposition was any indication), her sentimentality only extends so far: it remains explicitly clear that he is her property and is expected to obey her orders without question, regardless of how he may feel about them. The canon moment I linked to is a prime example of that, where Lieutenant Joshi questions K's willingness to obey by asking if he's refusing her orders, which he soundly puts to rest with his reply: "I wasn't aware that was an option, madam." Because for him and all androids like him, choice and consent literally don't exist.
In Deerington, he developed significant relationships with several characters.
Technical Boy: Being a god of technology, K felt an immediate affinity with him from the start that only grew more profound the closer they became. For the first time in K's short life, he felt truly seen and understood by someone. As their respective defenses were lowered and they allowed themselves to be vulnerable with each other, their friendship eventually evolved into a romantic relationship. He is, without a doubt, the person who has had the greatest influence on K, having helped K to develop his sense of personhood and budding autonomy by always encouraging him to make his own choices. He is also why K chose to teach computer science at Deerington High, knowing that it would double as a sort of indirect worship for the god and help him in such a technologically limited dream world. They formalised their commitment to each other when they exchanged rings on their anniversary.
Fern: One of the first people K met in Deerington. They found common ground in their respective origins and objectification, and from there it steadily grew into a friendship with K sometimes taking on something of a mentor role, and doing what he could to encourage Fern's sense of self and personhood. He also taught Fern gun safety and shooting skills, and offered what relationship advice he could when Fern became involved with Varian. Both were curious about the human experience of school, and agreed to give it a try together with Fern as a student and K deciding to teach math and computer science, an experience that he wound up enjoying, enough to consider tutoring in the future.
Arid: A fellow AI. Though initially a bit mistrustful of one another, they quickly bonded over their shared experiences and oppression at the hands of humans and became good friends, often protecting and encouraging one another. K took it upon himself to learn how to maintain her combat suit, skills which would end up being needed on several occasions and helped to fuel his thirst for knowledge, compelling him to branch out and begin learning other sciences as well. Arid agreed to work as a bouncer at the pub K owned, a position which she held for the remainder of their time in the dream town.
Mad Sweeney: Another god from the same world as Technical Boy. And despite Sweeney and Technical Boy's constant antagonism toward one another due to the Old Gods vs. New Gods conflict, as K learnt more about the leprechaun and their particular brand of gods, he and Sweeney grew closer. K believed in him, in a literal sense, which is significant for gods of this type as belief is what keeps them alive. After Sweeney's event-given magical ring destroyed his little shack of a house, K was quick to volunteer to help him, expanding his repertoire to learn carpentry and related house renovation skills.
Martin Blackwood: Despite K's hostile regard for Martin's boyfriend, Jonathan Sims, due to his attack(s) against Arid, K and Martin surprisingly wound up becoming very good friends. They frequently assisted each other during the monthly horrors of Deerington, and eventually started spending time together outside of that by K's own request, with Martin helping K develop his creativity and cooking skills and K doing what he could to bolster Martin's dismal self-esteem and combat abilities. Both had led very isolated, lonely lives (Lonely in Martin's case) before Deerington and bonded all the closer because of it.
During the "pack" event, K found himself adopted into a family of sorts that consisted of: Ben Dearborn, Fern, Luna Lovegood, Peter Graham, Technical Boy (who also became K's bonded mate), The OA, Will Byers, and Will Graham. He continued to feel echoes of that familial bond throughout the remainder of his time in Deerington and it often influenced his interaction with these characters, especially Fern, Peter (plus Paimon), and Luna.
Wrench: The very first job K took in Deerington was at Wrench's barbershop, where he worked in a managerial position and used it as an opportunity to start meeting more Sleepers in a safe environment. Due to the unpredictable nature of the dream town and the frequency of monster attacks, K took it upon himself to double as security when needed and kept an eye on the shop even during off-hours. Desiring to better understand the nuances of American Sign Language and hoping to cultivate more of a friendship with Wrench in the process, K asked him for lessons, and often got to practise at the shop with Baby, who was also employed there.
Bucky Barnes: Though they haven't known each other long, Bucky (or "Matthew" as K knows him) has made a significant impression on him through the memories of Bucky's past as the Winter Soldier that K witnessed. He's very curious about this human who understands better than most what programmed obedience and lacking free will actually entails, hoping that they might one day become closer and maybe help each other.
The shiny Sandygast K acquired during the ghost Pokémon event warrants an honourable mention because he cares for it as a sort of pet-child. Previously he and Tech Boy had discussed their feelings on hypothetical parenthood in the future and the Sandygast (along with Tech Boy's far more mischievous Gastly) helped to solidify those feelings in K; he's been enjoying Poképarenthood and is curious what the future may hold for his little family.
Deer Country Attributes
• Canon Powers: As explained in my original app, K has no powers, as such, though many of his senses and physical abilities are essentially at a superhuman level. He also possesses the accelerated healing that is standard in replicants.
• Blood Type: Coldblood.
• Omen: A biomechanical bee (think xenomorph aesthetics) because of reasons; in its larger and more monstrous forms, it has the appearance of a biomechanical dragon.
• Blessed Day: November 12, K's incept date (the android equivalent of a "birth"day).
• Patron Pthumerian: The Tower.
• Blood Power Manifestation: I intend to have these powers develop as K settles into the new world, and once I have a better idea of what would best complement his character development and my plans for his arc. But, tentatively, I'm thinking elemental powers that he will apply in creative ways beyond just augmenting weapons. Weaponry will certainly be part of it because protecting those he cares for is his top priority, but as he is also striving to cultivate his creativity and distance himself from his canon job of being forced to hunt and kill fellow androids, he'll be inclined to explore more unconventionally beneficial uses for his new powers if possible. Of particular interest will be figuring out if any of his abilities (especially lightning-related) can complement or bolster Tech Boy's innate technology god abilities and/or be harnessed to provide an alternate source of power for him in such a low-tech world. I'm also very interested in possible healing applications for his powers, to whatever extent Coldbloods are capable of it.
